Recording at Keble College, Oxford (7–9 January)

Recording at Keble College, Oxford, was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. It was a completely different way of making music—singing into microphones with no audience or congregation to engage with, as the choir normally would.

While there was a certain emptiness in the chapel without an audience, a sense of focus and responsibility filled the space as we worked to ensure our singing was at its very best for this unique and exciting opportunity.

The trip wasn’t without its adventures, like the time some of us found ourselves stuck in Christ Church Meadow during a break between sessions! Still, the beautiful surroundings of Oxford provided an inspiring backdrop for the recording and made the experience all the more extraordinary.

Although the trip was filled with moments the whole choir will cherish, the purpose always remained clear: creating something lasting and meaningful for others to enjoy. We poured our efforts into making this recording as perfect as possible, and I hope you’ll enjoy the result as much as we enjoyed bringing it to life.
